Therapy.
Having a ball.
Last night was the 4th year biology ball.
We got dressed up, ate nice food, danced lots, stayed up late and generally had a ball.

Twit-Twooo
Good evening!
I haven't got pretty pictures so I'll not stay long. I have had a really lovely few days.
Last night I got treated to a surprise dinner at The Witchery on the Royal Mile (lucky me!). It was such a lovely evening. We were eating in The Secret Garden and as we turned off the high street we went down a little path all beautifully lit with fairy lights. I wish I'd had my camera with me, but the thing about surprises is that you don't know their going to happen...
The Secret Garden itself was beautiful with gorgeous twinkly light and a gothic-gardeny feel. We ate delicious food and to finish I had the dessert platter. Imagine this: chocolate torte with pistachio ice cream, passionfruit and mascarpone trifle with pistachio biscotti, burnt cambridge cream, exotic fruits with rum sabayon, and passionfruit sorbet in a brandy basket. Mmmmmmm. It looked beautiful and everything was absolutely delicious.
Bearing in mind I had the above smorgasbord of puddings to myself we went for a wee walk up to the castle afterwards. As we walked up we heard the "twit-twooo" of an owl. After some searching we saw it resting on a branch right up by the castle and watched it for a while, shining in the light of the castle. After a while it silently swooped off over our heads.
It was Magical.

Chris managed to catch this photo on his phone. Can you spot the owl taking off? |

Oh hello again.
Oh With Sparkles how you have been neglected. I'm sorry.
But never-the-less I have been up to enjoyable things. In the past few weeks Spring has sprung and it's getting lighter in the evenings, the daffodils are blooming and we've had sunshine! Despite the ever looming dissertation I have been enjoying all of these things...
Last Sunday I spent the day at North Berwick eating ice cream, flying a kite and generally having a wonderfully windswept time.
I also had an exciting fox tracking experience on route home from the library this week. Chris and I followed two foxes on an adventure around the university campus. I felt like David Attenborough. (Unfortunately my photography efforts were particularly poor)
Just to round off here are some sunny looking daffodils to brighten your day. Well, don't say I'm not good to you!
Over and out.
